Job Description:
The Embedded Test Engineer will be working onsite at Nextpower COE, Tukuguda R&D center, Hyderabad. In this position, you will report to the Embedded SW Test Manager. When you work with us, you will be automating the test cases for the features developed in the firmware for different controller devices covering different communication protocols like Zigbee, Bluetooth, RS232, RS485 and Ethernet etc.,.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do…
Work closely with the team to identify test cases which can be automated and automate them for new features, change requests and existing functionalities.
Understanding the flow of code and how it interacts with different components.
Setting up, maintaining, and performing test automation framework
Develop test scripts with 100% test coverage.
Able to write and execute test cases.
Defect identification, reporting and re verifying the defects post fix release
Support the (internal) team in delivering quality features, debugging issues, and providing incident responses.
Define, Document, and Evolve best practices.
Provide demos, test case reviews, and recommendations to help the team and others to be more productive and deliver a better product
Set and strive toward reaching professional development goals
Here is some of what you’ll need (required)…
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or equivalent discipline with 4+ years of relevant work experience in test automation using Python and manual testing
Extremely proficient with Automation frameworks and Communication protocols like RS232/485, Ethernet, ZigBee, BT, and Wi-Fi and its python libraries
Proficient with Test Life Cycle and Defect life cycle
Strong knowledge of embedded controllers and their architecture.
Good knowledge of various types of testing like functional, regression, integration, and performance etc.,
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly.
