Fuel your passion

As an Electrical System Engineer, you will play a key role in the specification, design, and integration of electrical systems for synchronous condenser applications. You will ensure that electrical components, auxiliary systems, and cabling interfaces work seamlessly with mechanical, process, and control subsystems. Your work will directly influence system performance, safety, and reliability.

As an Electrical System Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Electrical system design & integration: Leading the specification, design, and integration of electrical systems for synchronous condenser packages, including motors, VFDs, transformers, and protection systems.

  • Auxiliary systems oversight: Defining and validating electrical auxiliary systems such as e‑house, MCCs, and low‑voltage/high‑voltage supplies.

  • Cabling & interface management: Managing cabling interfaces, routing concepts, and electrical supply integration across subsystems.

  • Cross‑functional collaboration: Working closely with Controls, Process, and Mechanical Engineers to ensure system‑wide compatibility and interface alignment.

  • Vendor & documentation management: Coordinating with suppliers, reviewing technical documentation, and ensuring compliance with internal and customer requirements.

  • Systems engineering contribution: Supporting design verification, risk identification, and system‑level decision‑making throughout the project lifecycle (ITO and OTR phases).

To be successful in this role, you will:
  • Bring strong knowledge of electrical system design and integration.

  • Understand electrical auxiliary systems, cabling interfaces, and power‑distribution concepts.

  • Have contextual understanding of grid modelling and compliance reporting.

  • Be familiar with TRS compliance and basic cyber‑security considerations for electrical systems.

  • Demonstrate the ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

  • Be comfortable managing vendor interfaces and technical documentation.

  • Apply systems‑thinking principles to ensure reliable and safe system performance.
