The role focuses on performance assessment, optimization, and analysis of PaCo core network elements. The engineer will be responsible for evaluating system performance, identifying bottlenecks, improving KPIs, and ensuring optimal service delivery across various IMS components and deployment models.
Responsibilities- Perform end-to-end performance assessment and optimization of PaCo network elements.
- Analyse and interpret KPIs, counters, and logs to identify performance issues and improvement areas.
- Work on call flows (VoNR,VoLTE/VoWiFi) to troubleshoot and optimize network behaviour.
- Conduct capacity planning and dimensioning based on traffic trends and forecasts.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for performance degradation and service issues.
- Optimize performance for different deployment models (Bare Metal/VNF/CNF)
- Collaborate with cross-domain teams (IMS Core, SDL etc.) for E2E optimization.
- Support customer-facing discussions, performance reviews, and technical presentations.
- Validate performance improvements through testing and benchmarking.
PaCo & Telecom Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of 3G/4G/5G core network architecture, especially PaCo.
- Expertise in VoLTE/VoNR call flows, SIP signalling, and session handling.
- Hands-on experience with PaCo nodes such as:
- SGSN/MME/AMF
- PW/SGW/UPF/SMF
- NRF/NSSF
Performance & Optimization:
- Strong knowledge of performance counters, KPIs, and SLA metrics.
- Experience in performance tuning, load handling analysis.
- Ability to correlate KPIs across multiple network elements.
- Understanding of traffic models and network behaviour under load.
Data Analysis & Tools:
- Strong skills in:
- MS Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts), MS Access, Power BI etc.
- Data analysis and reporting
- Exposure to scripting/tools is a plus (e.g., Python, SQL).
- Experience with trace analysis tools / packet analysers (e.g., Wireshark).
