Role overview
This is a foundational leadership role; the work here impacts how every product, customer, and partner experiences Kaseya. Role will be responsible for building and executing the strategy for Kaseya's unified intelligence experience and customer data platform. This leader will drive the creation of a centralized data platform that powers insights, automation, and personalization across Kaseya's product portfolio and key cross product workflows, enabling MSPs and their customers to make data-driven decisions at scale. The role requires defining and executing the vision for how Kaseya leverages customer data, telemetry, and AI/ML to create competitive differentiation, improve customer experiences, and unlock new revenue opportunities.
This position demands deep technical expertise in data platforms, API, analytics, and AI/ML capabilities, combined with strategic product thinking and cross-functional collaboration. The Director will work closely with product, security, legal, sales, and marketing teams across the organization to build foundational capabilities that become force multipliers for the entire platform.
What will you do
- Define, shape, and clearly communicate our long-term Data, API & AI Strategy, vision, and roadmap.
- Build and scale Data, API and AI capabilities as core product differentiators.
- Provide thought leadership in the design, architecture, and execution of the platform ecosystem and ensure platforms are optimized for performance, scalability, cost, and reliability.
- Set the bar for our engineering culture, encouraging the development of best practices, holding teams accountable for slippage, and improving processes.
- Orchestrate alignment across Product, Engineering, GTM, and Trust.
- Drive platform modernization to reduce tech debt and accelerate innovation velocity.
- Execute clear commercial and technical KPIs across a large portfolio.
- Shape the next chapter of Kaseya’s platform strategy and work with creators of open-source software like Argo and Numaproj.io.
What We Look For
- 15+ years of experience in data engineering, AI/ML, API and Identity platform, platform engineering, or related fields, with deep expertise in designing and building distributed data systems and applied AI.
- Proven leadership (in a prior Director level role strongly preferred) building and leading high-performing global engineering teams, balancing short-term execution with long-term strategic growth.
- Extensive experience in building and scaling cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) for data, API and AI platforms, with a strong focus on high availability, fault tolerance, and cost-efficiency.
- Demonstrated success in growing and evolving data and AI platforms to meet the needs of a rapidly scaling business, ensuring data-driven decisions are made at all levels of the organization.
- Strong strategic mindset, translating business objectives into scalable technical solutions that deliver value across the organization. Motivated by delivering customer value and impact.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, driving impactful solutions across engineering, product, and business teams.
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related majors, or equivalent experience.
