Position Overview
We are looking for a strategic and commercially driven Director – Business Finance (APAC) (2 separate regions: India and APEI) to lead regional financial planning, business partnering, and commercial governance across APAC markets.
This role includes reporting scope but is not limited to reporting — it is a true business partner position requiring strong financial leadership, deal evaluation expertise, and the ability to contribute to senior stakeholders across geographies and support and promote the company’s business in these regions.
You will act as the financial anchor for the region while ensuring alignment with global HQ and corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Finance & Planning
- Lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
- Lead the quarterly rolling forecasts and mainly revenue, direct margins, gross margins and OPEX
- Provide financial insights to drive revenue growth and margin improvement.
- Deliver executive-level variance analysis and performance commentary.
- Ensure compliant and accurate revenue recognition as per global standards.
- Partner with Sales and Operations to improve forecast accuracy in a milestone-driven business.
- Full accountability and ownership of the regional P&L (even items that are managed by HQ), AOP, planning, cost saving, optimizations and results
- Good communication and managerial skills
Commercial & Deal Governance
- Conduct financial evaluation of new business opportunities including:
- Profitability modelling for various business models
- Tax implications
- Cash flow assessment
- Commercial risk analysis
- Support contract negotiations and protect margin integrity.
- Good understanding of the commercial and legal elements such as payment terms, limitation of liability, liquidated damages, renewals, insurance, guarantees, etc.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives across functions.
- Driving different kins of business models and adjust deal analysis accordingly, while strengthening the company strategy of recurring revenue
Working Capital & AR Management
- Lead collections, credit management, and AR governance together with the WW collection leader
- Optimize collection efforts, meet the quarterly collection targets, build network of external collection agencies
- Monitor DSO and working capital performance.
- Conduct periodic credit reviews and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with HQ Treasury and regional leadership to meet cash targets.
Leadership
- Manage and mentor a team of ~10 finance professionals.
- Build strong analytical and business partnering capabilities within the team.

- Chartered Accountant (CA)
- at least 15 years of progressive finance experience
- Minimum 5+ years in leadership roles within global/public companies
- Strong experience in:
- Business finance / FP&A, AOPs, Deal analysis, P&L ownership
- Revenue recognition in project-based environments, multiple elements
- Commercial deal support
- Cross-border taxation & compliance
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global matrix organization
- At least 5 years managerial experience in multinational companies, managing at least 10 employees directly
