Job Description: Digital Accessibility & Analytics Specialist
Role Purpose
The Digital Accessibility & Analytics Specialist is responsible for ensuring all digital brand platforms are compliant with global accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1/2.2) while maintaining robust data tracking and tagging integrity. This role bridges the gap between technical compliance, user experience, and business intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accessibility Strategy & Governance
- Backlog Management: Lead monthly refinement sessions with Client Product Owners and consultants to prioritize the accessibility backlog in ServiceNow.
- Audit & Compliance: Perform regular accessibility audits using automated tools and manual screen-reader testing to identify gaps in components.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the Lead Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide technical and functional oversight for the team. This includes delivering precise guidance on ticket estimation and complexity, translating business requirements into a clearly defined technical scope, and ensuring all deliverables are validated against client-agreed benchmarks.
- Regulatory Alignment: Ensure all developments meet Client’s global accessibility commitments and legal requirements.
2. Analytics & Tagging Implementation
- Technical Tagging: Define and implement tracking requirements for digital assets, ensuring they are accessible to assistive technologies (ARIA labels, semantic metadata).
- Data Integrity: Validate that tagging deployments do not interfere with site performance or accessibility features.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation of tagging schemas and accessibility standards for cross-brand use.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the Lead Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide technical and functional oversight for the team. This includes delivering precise guidance on ticket estimation and complexity, translating business requirements into a clearly defined technical scope, and ensuring all deliverables are validated against client-agreed benchmarks..
🛠 Required Skills & Qualifications - 10+ years of related experience.
Technical Skills:
- Accessibility Standards: Expert knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 and WAI-ARIA best practices.
- Tools: Experience with accessibility testing tools (Axe, Wave, Lighthouse) and assistive technologies (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver).
- Development Literacy: Strong understanding of Semantic HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript (enough to guide FE developers).
- Analytics: Proficiency in Google Tag Manager (GTM) and data layer management.
- Platform: Experience managing technical workflows in ServiceNow (SNOW).
Soft Skills:
- Prioritization: Ability to evaluate business criticality vs. technical difficulty.
- Communication: Fluent in English, with the ability to translate technical requirements for non-technical Product Owners.
- Agile Mindset: Experience working in a "Maintainability" or "Run" environment with fixed monthly capacities.
