Developer (Apps & Automation)
Purpose
Provide cost-effective build capacity for automation and line-of-business apps across D365, Power Platform, and SharePoint.
What the role does
- Delivers enhancements and small features in D365, Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint Online from designs and user stories.
- Uses Power Platform Copilot and Copilot Studio/agents to rapidly prototype and ship workflows, forms, and simple apps.
- Builds and maintains SharePoint lists, libraries, and pages as governed solutions (no shadow IT sites) backing business processes.
- Implements integration logic using Azure Functions, Logic Apps, or connectors under patterns defined by the integration/DevSecOps leads.
- Fixes defects and tackles minor improvements as part of each monthly release cycle.
- Coaches business citizen developers on Power Platform guardrails; reviews and helps remediate critical citizen-built apps/flows so they meet security and supportability standards.
Skills & experience
- 3–5 years in Microsoft stack development with hands-on Power Apps (canvas + model-driven), Power Automate, and SharePoint Online.
- Demonstrated projects using Copilot / Copilot Studio agents to build or augment solutions.
- Basic C#/TypeScript or similar, plus familiarity with Azure DevOps / Git.
- Able to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical users; experience working with citizen dev / low-code communities is a plus.
Stabilize / Standardize / Supercharge
Turns prioritized backlog into working automation quickly, reducing the need for vendor SOWs and taming uncontrolled citizen development.
