Role
Octus is seeking several Data Operations Associates to join our team of experienced, successful and highly motivated individuals at one of the global credit market’s most successful providers of data and analysis. This includes open roles within our Security Master, Private Credit and Restructuring data teams.
Responsibilities:
Data Operations Associates at Octus are responsible for a variety of duties related to the input, quality, analysis, and improvement of various datasets involving complex legal and financial subject matters.
- Perform reference data entry and mapping for Private Credit, Leveraged Loan, and High Yield Bond instruments and issuers, sourcing data from financial and legal documents, proprietary news, press releases, and client data submissions.
- Maintain high data quality standards, reviewing data and conducting queries and audits to identify inconsistencies, and then performing data cleanup tasks.
- Support and contribute to our continuous process improvement and data integration efforts
- Support and contribute to our regular flow of market analytics content
- Maintain regular communication with internal and external partners and contacts
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer information systems, business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field
- 2-4 years of experience maintaining financial data
- Required technical skills: Excel
- Preferred technical skills: SQL, Sigma/PowerBI
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English
- Collaborative: Skilled at partnering with people across the enterprise
- Attentive to detail along with strong analytical/critical reasoning
- Deadline-oriented with diligent organization and workflow management abilities
- Flexibility to align with US and European work schedules
