Position Title: Senior Data Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking a versatile ETL Data Engineer with a solid foundation in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and a basic understanding of Snowflake, Databricks, DataStage, and Talend. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient ETL workflows, contributing to the success of our data integration initiatives.

Responsibilities:

ETL Development:

Design, develop, and optimize ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

Leverage your knowledge of Talend for ETL job design and execution.

Data Integration:

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data integration requirements and implement solutions.

Work with Snowflake, Databricks, and DataStage to integrate and process diverse data sources.

Tool Proficiency:

Demonstrate a basic understanding of Snowflake, utilizing it for efficient data warehousing.

Work with Databricks for data processing and analytics tasks.

Utilize DataStage and Talend for ETL job development and orchestration.

Performance Optimization:

Monitor and enhance the performance of ETL processes, ensuring timely and efficient data movement.

Implement best practices for data partitioning, indexing, and optimization in Snowflake, Databricks, DataStage, and Talend.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and cross-functional teams to address data requirements.

Integrate ETL solutions seamlessly into the broader technology ecosystem.

Quality Assurance:

Implement data quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of transformed data.

Conduct testing and validation of ETL processes using Snowflake, Databricks, DataStage, and Talend.

Documentation:

Document ETL processes, data models, and workflows, providing clear reference material.

Contribute to the development of troubleshooting guides and best practices documentation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience as an ETL Data Engineer with a basic understanding of Snowflake, Databricks, DataStage, and Talend.

Proficiency in ETL tools and frameworks, particularly Talend.

Strong programming skills, with proficiency in SQL and Python.

Familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases.

Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications in Talend or related ETL technologies.

Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Databricks, DataStage, or similar tools.

Familiarity with data governance and security best practices.
