Job Description

Role: Data Analyst 

Chegg is the leading student-first connected learning platform, and we are looking for Self- motivated, proactive, highly responsive, flexible, and organized Data Analyst. You will be responsible for supporting Analytics Team by delivering key performance metrics, as well as clearly communicating conclusions drawn from various sets of data for the business. You will be collaborating across function teams including Product Managers, Managers to deliver insights for better decision making. 

Responsibilities: 

• Perform exploratory data analysis to discover patterns, trends, and anomalies in any type of data. 

• Develop forecasts and perform trend analysis for several KPIs parameters which can lead to successful business run. 

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to answer specific business questions. 

• Responsible to create highly optimized SQL queries and able to retrieve details from databases. Will be involved into complex datasets and schemas understanding for different products and process changes. 

• Responsible to take lead on multiple projects and setup Analytical reporting. 

• Create clear and compelling reports and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders. 

• Summarize the key takeaways, providing good summaries, useful insights for better business decisions. 

• Responsible to solve complex business problems and suggest solutions. 

• Responsible to perform/run statistical tests on the data, A/B, and different sample analysis. 

• Identify opportunities to enhance data processes and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. 

Requirements: 

• BS/MS in Preferred fields: Science, Math, Engineering, Statistics. 

• 2+ years of experience as Data Analyst is must. 

• Excellent SQL query writing skills, ability to optimize queries, build nested queries. 

• Advance excel + PowerPoint. 

• Able to write/tweak codes in Python for data analysis and quick insights, coding knowledge to setup ETLs job for data movements. 

• Experience with creating visualization reports on  Tableau and Amplitude

• Ability to perform descriptive and Inferential analysis. 

• Knowledge of SQL & Python 

• Good knowledge of statistical methods, concepts. 

• Excellent in Data mining, cleansing, and munging. 

• Excellent written/verbal communication skills and presentation Skills. 

• Willingness to work flexible/international hours as needed. 

• Must work effectively with autonomy as well as within a team environment.
