Position Summary
This role is a hybrid role that is responsible for monitoring both internal and external threats to our people, brand, and assets. Internally, it is monitoring and responding to security alarms, camera feeds, and other security systems to ensure the safety and security of our facilities. Externally, it is also responsible for monitoring and analyzing external threats to traveling associates and the organization's physical security. This includes monitoring various sources of information, analyzing data, and providing timely and accurate reports to management. This role requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to quickly assess and respond to potential security threats, and excellent communication skills for coordinating tactical responses to threats and events.
Job Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring: Monitor and analyze external threats to the organization's physical security using the various intelligence tools, news outlets, and other relevant sources.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on identified threats, assessments, and recommended response actions, ensuring that relevant stakeholders are informed in a timely manner.
- Intelligence Sharing: Work closely with other members of the MSOC and Global Intelligence teams to ensure we are providing the right detail, to the right stakeholders, at the right time.
- Traveler Outreach: Evaluate potential event impact on MetLife travelers and provide support by communicating event details to them and confirming their wellbeing.
- Alarm Monitoring: Continuously monitor alarm systems to identify potential incidents around the perimeter or critical areas of our facilities.
- Incident Response: Promptly assess and respond to alarms and security incidents. Use video analysis software to gather information after an incident and submit to internal security leadership with any findings.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with on-site security personnel and relevant stakeholders.
- Incident Documentation: Accurately document all incidents, alarms, and actions taken in detailed reports.
- Device Status Monitoring: Regularly check the system status for end devices like panels and cameras to ensure they are functioning correctly.
- Alarm Trend Identification: Assess trends in false alarms to identify hardware that may need to be repaired or replaced, and work with the MSOC Project Lead to ensure a solution is reached.
- Troubleshooting: Evaluate mass device outages and attempt to resolve them with service restarts on Comm or Recording servers.
- Documentation Creation: Create or update job aids, SOP's, runbooks, etc, as the various functions mature and evolve.
Education, Technical Skills & Other Critical Requirement
Education
- IT Graduate
Experience
(In Years)
- Total of 8-10 years of Experience with at least 6 years in corporate security
- Hands on work experience on Tools like XSOAR or IBM Q-RADAR or Splunk, etc.
- Must process problem solving, planning, and analytical skills to drive continuous improvements
Technical Skills
- Expertise in Access Control and Video Management System Thorough knowledge of Service Now applications
- Experience and knowledge of monitoring external threats
- Prior experience in managing Incident helpdesk / Incident management work is preferable
- • Intermediate MS Office skills
Other Critical Requirements Like Voice/ Non-Voice for Insurance Ops
- Excellent communication skills
- Preferably CISSP Certified
