Your New Role
- The Infrastructure Designer plays a key role in designing and maintaining foundational infrastructure services that support NAB’s enterprise workloads.This includes ensuring secure, efficient, and highly available platforms that underpin identity, networking, and automation capabilities.
- The role contributes to NAB’s cloud-first strategy and compliance requirements by designing solutions for Active Directory, DNS, Group policies, virtualisation, storage systems, backup and disaster recovery, certificate services, and time synchronization.
- Assist in designing and documenting infrastructure solutions for Active Directory, DNS, virtualisation platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), and supporting services.
- Assist in designing and documenting SOE for Windows OS
- Create and maintain standard patterns across all technical services and automation patterns.
- Create and maintain operational and procedural documentation.
What Will You Bring
- Experience with Windows Server including Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, file/print services, basic Linux command line familiarity, foundational knowledge of virtualisation platform (Vmware/Hyper-V).
- Foundational skills in Azure/AWS, knowledge of virtual machines, virtual network, availability zones; understanding of SAN/NAS/RAID
- TCP/IP, DHCP, vLANs, routing and switching, firewall rules
- Access control, patching, MFA, password vault, least privilege access, ITIL concept (problem/change/incident management), business continuity, backup & disaster recovery
- Visio for diagrams, basic PowerShell scripting, monitoring
- Understanding of Data Centre, servers, switches, structured cabling, storage, heating/cooling.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
