The opportunity

The Content Strategy Manager is an editorial leader who works across multiple topic teams across multiple TechnologyAdvice sites, including TechRepublic. Some topics of focus at TechnologyAdvice include VoIP, Banking, Retail, HR and Cloud Security. Internally the title for this role is Content Strategist and will report to the Director of Content.

The Content Strategist is responsible for creating, maintaining and assigning editorial calendars for their assigned topics and content cluster plans, as well as meeting or exceeding production KPIs within the allocated budget. This will include assigning content to staff and freelance writers, and doing developmental edits on these articles on deadlines. As an editorial leader, you are responsible for ensuring all published copy within your assigned topics align with the site's audience, mission and vision.

The Content Strategist will collaborate on a regular basis with SEO and Business Development teams to ensure all topics under their purview are covered appropriately. You will also coordinate with the Creative team to develop high-value multimedia content for your topic, as well as the Social Media and Newsletters teams to promote your content. You will work closely with the Content Operations team to source and recruit freelance writers. You might work with Marketing to develop personas for topic areas to target the correct audience and make sure the content stays on board and reaches our highly engaged monetized audience.

What you'll do

  • Plan, assign, develop and edit content articles, including designing content clusters to build authority.
  • Maintain a project calendar and content launch dates and ensure content strategy aligns with business goals.
  • Work with in-house and freelance writers to meet production targets, create article templates, and provide feedback for quality improvement.
  • Strategize regularly with SEO and monetization teams to support traffic and revenue goals
  • Oversee content style, tone, and consistency across all platforms: website, social media, video etc
  • Work closely with in-house and freelance writers to meet production goals and provide them with feedback to continually increase quality standards
  • Create article templates with detailed synopses for writers
  • Conduct regular content quality assessments using our BAR rubric
  • Collaborate and manage similar topic areas across our portfolio of sites, as needed
  • Research and stay up to date on the latest developments in terms of search engine optimization, content trends and consumer behavior
  • Track and calculate content ROI to ensure the content strategy meets business objectives
  • Write unbiased articles that inform the reader and provide them with the best answers to their B2B questions


Who you are

  • 1+ years of content strategy and planning experience
  • 1+ years of developmental editing experience for a technical audience, ideally with a B2B focus
  • Detail-oriented with a strong grasp of editorial strategy for B2B tech topics, including software
  • Knowledgeable in SEO and online content revenue best practices
  • Skilled in time management, prioritization, and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with strong visual presentation skills
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Open to feedback, eager to learn, and adaptable to shifting strategies
  • Agile professional who excels in a fast-paced environment and thrives on continuously pivoting strategies to drive business needs forward
  • Must have a working laptop/pc and internet and back-up connection

Salary Range
We seek to hire top-tier individuals and intend for our compensation to be at a rate that allows us to recruit and retain individuals who align with our core values, purpose, mission, and vision. Final total compensation is based on a multitude of factors including, but not limited to, skill level, relevant experience to the position, and cost of labor.

Hourly pay range

₹384₹576 INR
