Job Role:- The Communication
Officer is responsible for planning and implementing communication strategies
that enhance the visibility, credibility, and impact of India Child
Protection's programmes and campaigns. The role involves content development,
digital communications, media engagement, branding, documentation, and
storytelling to effectively communicate the organization's mission,
achievements, and advocacy initiatives to diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibility Areas:-
Communication Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement communication
plans aligned with organizational priorities.
- Support communication campaigns
for programmes, advocacy, fundraising, and events.
- Ensure consistency in
organizational branding and messaging across all communication channels.
- Contribute to annual communication
and outreach strategies.
Content Development
- Create engaging content for
websites, newsletters, reports, brochures, IEC materials, blogs, and
social media.
- Develop success stories, case
studies, impact stories, speeches, and press materials.
- Edit, proofread, and ensure
high-quality written communication.
- Coordinate production of
communication materials in collaboration with programme teams.
Digital Communications
- Manage the organization's
website and digital communication platforms.
- Create and schedule content for
social media channels.
- Monitor digital engagement and
recommend improvements.
- Support email campaigns and
digital outreach initiatives.
Media Relations
- Build and maintain
relationships with media professionals and communication partners.
- Draft press releases, media
advisories, and briefing notes.
- Coordinate media coverage for
events, campaigns, and organizational initiatives.
- Respond to media queries in
coordination with senior management.
Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Document programme activities,
events, and field visits.
- Develop case studies, photo
stories, and multimedia content.
- Maintain communication archives
and digital asset libraries.
- Support publication of annual
reports and organizational publications.
Branding & Advocacy
- Ensure adherence to
organizational branding guidelines.
- Support advocacy campaigns
through effective communication materials.
- Coordinate production of
promotional and awareness materials.
- Strengthen the organization's
public profile and visibility.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Track communication performance
using digital analytics and engagement metrics.
- Prepare communication reports
and dashboards.
- Monitor media coverage and
communication outcomes.
- Recommend improvements based on
performance data.

Educational Qualification
- Master's Degree in Mass
Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, Media
Studies, Social Work, English, or a related discipline.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant
field with significant experience may also be considered.
- Professional certification in
Digital Marketing, Social Media Management, Graphic Design, or Content
Marketing will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in communications, media,
public relations, content development, or digital communications.
- Experience working in NGOs,
development organizations, or social impact initiatives is preferred.
- Experience managing
communication campaigns and social media platforms is desirable.
Technical Skills
- Excellent writing, editing, and
proofreading skills.
- Strong storytelling and content
development abilities.
- Proficiency in social media
management and digital communication tools.
- Experience with website content
management systems (CMS).
- Knowledge of graphic design
tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite is desirable.
- Photography and basic
videography skills are an advantage.

documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
