Processes and reviews commercial insurance claims, including high-value and catastrophic losses, approvals, reserves monitoring, audits, complaints, and reinsurer or coinsurance coordination. The role supports zonal teams, surveyors, corporate clients, underwriting, risk management, MIS and analytics teams. It also improves claims processes and systems, reviews manuals and compliance practices, conducts periodic claims reviews, and leads technical initiatives while ensuring team capability and service quality.
Roles & Responsibility:
- Closely work on commercial claims and provide a strong support system to service the claims of varying severity and frequency.
- Verification of claim files beyond financial limit of Zone and putting up the same for approval to Competent Authorities with all due diligence for Own/leader/Reinsurance Inward
- Tracking and Monitoring of high value claims above Rs. 1 Cr and guiding Zonal Team wherever required and keeping Claims Head informed on the developments, results of various analysis & Due Dilligence conducted on the claim. Coordination with Surveyors whenever and wherever required.
- Conducting Reviews with Zones along with other team members and Reserves monitoring of high value claims.
- Track claims behavior of LOB/Channel/Client and create appropriate periodic feedback mechanism to UW/Risk Management team
- Guiding Internal MIS/Analytics team for further improvement & Developments in various Claims Processes and IT system related aspects.
- Periodic review of manuals/circulars and claims processes to be the best in class and ensure implementation
- Develop and nurture relationships with corporate clients/distributor channels
- Take up technical initiatives/projects
- Anticipate the team skills/knowledge vis a vis the business and ensure team meets requirement at all times
- Compliance with quality/handling audits – external and internal
- Tracking of Catastrophic Loss Event losses
- Periodical Reviews on Outstanding Claims with all Zones
- Coordination with Coinsurance Team for Reserves monitoring, high value claims processing including cash calls
- Coordination with Zones & Internal ERCG team for Resolution of CEO Desk Complaints / Grievances / IRDA Complaints
