To provide assistance and support to the Assistant Manager / Distribution Manager, Broker Business in relationship management, intermediaries’ requests and / or any other ad hoc requests as required, complying to the Company’s guidelines and meeting the Business Unit’s growth targets.

Primary Responsibilities • Strategy and Planning •Nil •Policy, Process and Procedures •Maintain product, system and process knowledge •Attend relevant product and skill courses and passing on relevant points to other staff •Environmental Awareness/Customer Focus •Ensure timely communication with relevant stakeholders in respect to processing queries •Develop good working relationships with all internal customers and stakeholders •Technical Performance •Processing insurance quotations, new business, renewals •Complete underwriting and administrative duties such as •renewal underwriting review including prepare referral, premium calculation for approval •handling new and renewal business within designated underwriting authority •arrange policy, endorsement and certificate issuance •Update relevant registers including coded treaty register, new submission register and referral register •Maintain data in relevant computer systems and other databases •People Management •Nil Preferred Competencies/Skills • Good customer service and presentation skills • Good communication and interpersonal skills • High Proficiency in computer skill • Able to work independently with positive working attitude and willing to learn • Professional qualifications in insurance or related disciplines Preferred Experience • Minimum 3+ years’ working experience in the finance/insurance industry with knowledge of all lines insurance products Preferred Knowledge • Basic knowledge of the insurance industry • Good Knowledge and understanding of general insurance products QBE Cultural DNA • Everything we do at QBE is underpinned by our DNA (which interlinks seven cultural elements) – because we know it's not just what we do that matters, it's how we do it that makes the difference.
