Role Overview
Articul8 is seeking a senior Business Development Leader to drive growth across strategic verticals in India, including Energy, Industrial, Manufacturing, Asset-Intensive Processes, and adjacent sectors.
This role is focused on building Articul8’s market presence in India, originating and closing strategic engagements, and shaping the go-to-market approach for enterprise AI adoption across key industries.
The role will initially be a hands-on, individual contributor position, responsible for developing the market, building strategic relationships, and generating qualified enterprise opportunities. The candidate will be expected to operate with a high degree of ownership and autonomy, directly driving business development activities and deal execution.
As the market presence and pipeline mature, this role has the potential to evolve into a broader leadership position, including building and managing a regional business development team.
The role requires a combination of strategic market development, enterprise sales execution, ecosystem building, and government engagement. The candidate will work closely with Articul8 leadership, product teams, and strategic partners to identify high-impact opportunities and convert them into long-term commercial relationships.
The ideal candidate is comfortable operating at multiple altitudes simultaneously - developing strategic relationships with industry leaders and public sector stakeholders while also executing directly on deal development and revenue generation.
Key Responsibilities
Market Development & GTM Leadership
Lead market development and go-to-market execution for Articul8 across priority sectors in India, including Energy, Industrial, Manufacturing, and other asset-intensive industries
Identify high-value industry use cases where Generative AI can drive operational efficiency, resilience, and decision intelligence
Develop and execute vertical-specific GTM strategies that align Articul8’s platform capabilities with industry needs
Build a qualified pipeline of strategic enterprise opportunities with clear paths to revenue generation
Work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure customer feedback informs product evolution and solution development
Enterprise Business Development
Originate, develop, and close large enterprise engagements with leading organizations across target industries
Own the full lifecycle of strategic deals, from opportunity identification through contract negotiation and commercial close
Structure and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including platform deployments, domain-specific model initiatives, and multi-year partnerships
Collaborate with internal leadership on pricing, deal structuring, and partnership frameworks
Build and maintain relationships with C-suite and senior executives across target industries
Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem Development
Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with industry players, technology providers, research institutions, and system integrators
Develop joint initiatives with industry associations and ecosystem partners that accelerate adoption of enterprise AI
Work with partners to develop co-innovation programs and lighthouse deployments in priority sectors
Coordinate with global Ar$cul8 partnerships to ensure alignment with broader ecosystem strategy
Government & Infrastructure Engagement
Interface with government agencies, policy bodies, and public-sector initiatives focused on digital transformation, AI adoption, and industrial modernization
Identify opportunities aligned with national and state-level infrastructure, energy transition, manufacturing, and AI initiatives
Support participation in government programs, consortia, and strategic initiatives relevant to AI and industrial technology
Help position Ar$cul8 as a trusted technology partner in national AI and digital infrastructure programs
Strategic Industry Positioning
• Represent Ar$cul8 in industry forums, conferences, and strategic dialogues related to industrial AI and digital transformation
Contribute to thought leadership around AI adoption in energy systems, industrial operations, and asset intensive industries
Support development of industry narratives, market positioning, and strategic messaging
Internal Collaboration
Work closely with product, engineering, and solution teams to translate market needs into product capabilities
Coordinate with global sales and partnerships teams to align on enterprise accounts and strategic opportunities
Contribute to strategic planning, revenue forecasting, and pipeline development.
Provide leadership with insights on market dynamics, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities

Ideal Candidate Requirements
Experience
12+ years of experience in enterprise business development, strategic partnerships, or GTM leadership
Experience working with industrial, energy, manufacturing, or infrastructure sectors
Proven track record of originating and closing large enterprise deals
Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments including government or regulated industries
Background in enterprise software, AI, industrial technology, or digital transformation
Capabilities
Strong ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels
Excellent relationship-building skills with C-suite and senior government stakeholders
Ability to structure and negotiate complex partnerships and commercial agreements
Strong understanding of enterprise technology adoption cycles
High degree of ownership, initiative, and bias toward execution
