- Deploy, manage, and optimize HPC workloads in Azure using services like CycleCloud and Azure NetApp Files.
- Perform Linux system administration tasks such as deploying new
- Apply FinOps principles to monitor, analyze, and optimize Azure cloud spend; identify cost-saving opportunities and drive cloud efficiency.
- Develop and manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform for repeatable and auditable deployments.
- Create Terraform scripts to automate deployment of Azure services using CI/CD pipelines
- Configure and manage Azure networking, storage, and compute resources for HPC and hybrid cloud environments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve performance issues in HPC and containerized workloads.
- Stay current with Azure HPC and networking innovations, recommending improvements to existing environments.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the overall growth of the cloud engineering practice.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years total experience, with 5–7 years of hands-on cloud experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Background in Linux system administration and OS configuration
- Experience running HPC workloads in Azure, including use of CycleCloud and Azure NetApp Files.
- Strong background in hybrid cloud network design and implementation.
- Experience in cloud cost optimization, FinOps, and cloud spend management.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform (required).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer) are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) is a plus.
