We are seeking an AV Solutions Design Specialist to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to contribute your expertise in creating detailed and professional AV system documentation that ensures seamless project execution.

The AV Solutions Design Specialist will be responsible for producing accurate, detailed, and professional audiovisual system drawings and documentation. This role involves close collaboration with AV engineers, project managers, and installation teams to translate conceptual designs into build-ready CAD drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.

• Develop detailed AV system drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent drafting tools

• Create and update floor plans, riser diagrams, rack elevations, signal flow diagrams, and wiring schematics

• Interpret project specifications, scopes of work, and designs from AV engineers

• Coordinate with project teams to ensure drawings align with engineering standards and installation requirements

• Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors for integration of AV systems into construction documentation

• Maintain documentation standards in line with company guidelines, client requirements, industry best practices, and relevant codes/regulations

• Manage and update drawing templates, symbol libraries, and design blocks for efficiency and consistency

• Revise/redline existing drawings based on field updates or project modifications

• Prepare submittal packages, as-built drawings, and project documentation

• Organize, maintain, and archive project files and drawing sets

• Associate’s degree, technical certificate in Drafting/Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); experience with Revit, Visio, Stardraw, or Bluebeam is a plus

• Solid understanding of AV components, structured cabling, and signal flow

• Ability to interpret architectural and construction drawings

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

• Familiarity with AVIXA standards and industry terminology is an advantage

• 5+ years of experience in AV drafting, low-voltage systems design, or related drafting roles

• Knowledge of commercial AV systems including video conferencing, control systems, digital signage, and audio distribution

• Experience working across multiple verticals such as corporate, education, finance, healthcare, government, house of worship, and entertainment venues

• Exposure to manufacturer documentation from vendors like Crestron, Extron, QSC, Biamp, etc.

• Ability to work independently on multiple projects and deliver within deadlines
