Automation

Key Responsibilities:
- Validate data pipelines from ingestion through transformation and storage (ETL/ELT validation).
- Test web interfaces for functional accuracy, data integrity, and user experience compliance.
- Perform API integration testing, ensuring accuracy, stability, and security across endpoints.
- Conduct various levels of testing, including volume, performance, regression, and system integration testing.
- Author and execute test cases using both manual and automated methods.
- Write and maintain SQL queries for backend data validation.
- Use Python for test automation scripting and data comparison.
- Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and analysts to resolve issues and improve test coverage.
- Track and report defects with clear documentation, logs, and steps to reproduce.
Required Skills:
Backend Testing:
- Proficient & 6+ years of hands-on experience in writing and executing complex SQL queries.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python for test scripting and automation.
- Hands-on experience in test case authoring, test execution, and defect tracking.
 Data Engineering Validation:
- Working knowledge of Snowflake and PostgreSQL for data validation and testing.
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts and data warehouse environments.
- System & Integration Testing:
- Experience in web application validation and API testing (REST/SOAP).
- Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust) is a plus.
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr) and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in automated testing frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Robot Framework).
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution.
- Understanding of data quality frameworks and data validation best practices.
