Associate Technical Architect – AJO & Adobe Experience Platform

Job Descreption

We are seeking a motivated and technically strong Associate Technical Architect with a deep focus on Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) to support the design, implementation, and optimization of customer journey orchestration solutions. This role is ideal for professionals who have hands-on experience with AJO and Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), and who are ready to take on greater architectural responsibility.
You will work closely with senior architects, marketing technology stakeholders, and engineering teams to deliver real-time, personalized customer experiences at scale. Your primary focus will be on building and governing AJO-based journeys, integrations, and activation workflows across the enterprise ecosystem.

Must have skills

1. Hands-on experience with Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) – journey design, campaign orchestration, and event-triggered workflows
2. Strong working knowledge of Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) – Real-Time CDP, Identity Service, Experience Data Model (XDM), and Data Flows
3. Experience with AJO channel configurations: Email, SMS, Push Notifications, In-App, and Web
4. Proficiency in building audience segments, activation rules, and decisioning logic within AJO
5. Understanding of event-driven architecture and real-time data streaming (Kafka, Adobe Launch / Tags)
6. Experience with REST API integrations for AJO custom actions and external system connectivity
7. Working knowledge of JavaScript / HTML for content personalization and offer decisioning
8. Familiarity with data ingestion pipelines (batch and streaming) into AEP

Good to have skills

1. Experience with Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, or Adobe Campaign for cross-solution orchestration
2. Exposure to Offer Decisioning / Adobe Journey Optimizer – Decision Management module
3. Knowledge of data governance frameworks, DULE policies, and consent management in AEP
4. Familiarity with CI/CD practices and deployment workflows for AJO configurations
5. Exposure to other MarTech platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Marketo) for comparative understanding
6. Experience with Postman or API testing tools for AJO custom action validation
7. Understanding of A/B testing and experiment frameworks within AJO
8. Cloud platform exposure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) in the context of data pipeline integrations

Key responsibiltes

1. Design and implement end-to-end customer journey workflows using Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), including event-triggered, scheduled, and audience-based journeys
2. Configure and maintain AJO channel surfaces (Email, SMS, Push, In-App, Web) and ensure proper integration with downstream systems
3. Collaborate with senior architects to translate business requirements into AJO-based technical solutions and journey logic
4. Build and manage audience segments in AEP Real-Time CDP to power AJO journey entries and campaign targeting
5. Define XDM schemas, datasets, and data flow configurations to support journey orchestration use cases
6. Develop and manage custom actions and API-based integrations within AJO for connecting external platforms
7. Implement offer decisioning and personalization logic using AJO Decision Management
8. Conduct technical reviews of journey configurations, ensuring compliance with data governance, privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA), and platform best practices
9. Support QA, UAT, and go-live activities for AJO-based campaign and journey deployments
10. Document technical designs, integration specifications, and operational runbooks for AJO implementations
11. Monitor journey performance, troubleshoot issues in data flows and channel deliverability, and optimize based on analytics
12. Contribute to knowledge sharing, internal enablement sessions, and best practice development for AJO

Education Qulification

1. Bachelor's in Engineering with a specialisation in Computer Science, Data, or IT
2. Graduates from other fields with strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Certification If Any

1. AD0-E607 Adobe Journey Optimizer Business Practitioner Professional (Required)
2. AD0-E606 Adobe Journey Optimizer Developer Expert (Preferred)
3. AD0-E602 Adobe Real-Time CDP Business Practitioner Professional (Preferred)
4. AEP Foundations or Adobe Experience Platform Technical Foundations certification (Good to have)
