Capabilities, Experience & Qualification Requirements

Experience

  • 9+ years of experience in Controls creation, Operational Risk, Compliance, Process Improvement, Business Transformation or Consulting roles
  • Payroll, HR Operations, Workforce Compliance, or Regulatory Obligation Management experience highly regarded
  • Hands on experience in creating controls and running Control testings
  • Well familiar with Change management process
  • Proficient in creation of Dashboards to showcase ongoing team progress against goals
  • Proficient in structured problem solving and process improvement methodologies tools and processes across the business improvement and transformation lifecycle
  • Strong PowerPoint capability to clearly articulate problems to various stakeholder groups and recommend solutions

Essential capabilities

  • Proficient in creating and maintaining documented process and controls in line with enterprise standards
  • Demonstrated and relevant expertise in risk management and compliance environments in the context of business process and control improvement
  • Structed problem solving and business improvement methodologies tools and processes
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Background and thorough understanding of financial services
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of key tools, techniques and concepts behind process improvement and apply them to deliver required outcomes

Other capabilities

  • Adapting approach and demeanour in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations and changes in priorities
  • Provide regular, ongoing feedback to team members to ensure achievement of organisational goals and development of staff capable of leading the change
  • Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.

Preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite – Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Business writing and influencing skills
  • Experience with Signavio or similar process modelling tools and enterprise risk management platforms

Qualification Requirements

  • Process Mapping and Modelling with industry specific accreditation preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma / Process Transformation and Continuous Improvement Qualifications
  • CRISC/CSA/CISP certification preferred

Key Accountabilities

  • Supporting business stakeholders with regulatory obligation effectiveness assessments
  • Documenting business processes and controls to the expected enterprise standard
  • Recommending opportunities to improve processes and controls to support improved risk management and compliance
  • Assisting in ad hoc tasks, as required, to support the successful delivery of the Strengthen program objectives
