Title: Associate Manager, Customer Success Content Configuration Engineer
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The content configuration engineer is responsible for configuring content solutions within Duck Creek’s P&C core systems. This role involves analyzing industry standards, interpreting business requirements, and implementing configuration changes using Duck Creek’s toolset. The Associate Manager plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of content solutions while supporting Agile development processes. This position does not have people management responsibilities but functions as a senior-level individual contributor within the Customer Success Engineering team
Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Configure content solutions for moderate complexity Agile stories, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
- Interpret rules and regulatory requirements from standards organizations (e.g., ISO, NCCI, AAIS) and translate them into system configurations.
- Debug and resolve configuration defects, performing root cause analysis and implementing fixes without collateral impact.
- Develop and maintain automated unit and integration-level test scripts to validate content changes.
- Follow development standards and participate in peer code reviews to ensure compliance with best practices.
- Conduct source code management tasks, maintaining version control and documentation of configuration updates.
- Work closely with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to optimize content configuration and testing approaches.
- Support system upgrades by assessing the impact of content changes and validating test results.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives, mentoring junior team members on content development methodologies.
- Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies, participating in sprint planning, retrospectives, and process improvements.
- Maintain compliance with Duck Creek’s mission, vision, and core values across all work responsibilities.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE:
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in content configuration, software development, or related technical roles.
- Experience working with Duck Creek products and P&C insurance software applications.
- Strong knowledge of XML document design and configuration methodologies.
PREFERRED:
- 10+ years of experience in software configuration and development.
- Expertise in P&C insurance domains, including Commercial Auto, General Liability, and other product lines.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and continuous integration testing practices.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Behaviors:
- Expertise in XML document design and implementation.
- Property & Casualty insurance products and regulatory compliance.
- Root cause analysis for defect resolution in content configurations.
- XSLT document design and XPath querying for content transformation.
- Writing and optimizing high-performance configuration rules.
- Understanding and applying insurance domain knowledge in system configurations.
- Utilizing content development standards and best practices.
- Technical writing and documentation of configuration updates.
- Estimating effort required for content configuration changes.
- Source code management and version control best practices.
- Relational database design concepts and querying techniques.
- Agile development methodologies, including sprint planning and retrospective analysis.
- Effective time management to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Communicating effectively within a team and with external stakeholders.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting complex configuration issues.
- Experience with Duck Creek configuration tools, including Express®, Server®, Author®, TransACT®, and Forms™.
