Associate Director, India Operations

Tower Research Capital India Pvt. Ltd., an affiliate of the high-frequency proprietary trading firm Tower Research Capital LLC (“Tower”), seeks a Vice President for India Trade Operations with strong communication and excellent analytic skills to lead local operations and support
within our post trade infrastructure. This person will join the global operations team and contribute both locally and globally.  Our firm successfully executes a range of different strategies across multiple trading teams in a variety of markets. We have an extremely high-performance network that processes a vast amount of financial information in real time. The local office is composed of a talented group of quantitative analysts, operational analysts, developers, and trading teams.

Responsibilities :
 Contribute as a member of Tower’s global post-trade operations leadership to the
execution of strategic operational objectives (65% local, 35% global)
 Manage two local operations groups, in Gurgaon and Gift City, which are responsible for
daily post-trade support and operational duties – including reference data management,
clearing and settlement operations, StreetSide reconciliations, P&L estimation, as well as
compliance analytics and reporting across multiple asset classes (FX, equities, futures,
etc.).
 Work closely with global team members in the US, Europe, and Asia, to ensure coverage
for critical processes and ensure consistency of services across regions. 
 Serve as the regional liaison for operations with local senior and executive management;
effectively communicate and present critical matters to key stakeholders and in various
meetings.
 Lead the evolution of self-clearing operations and settlement processes in India. 
 Understand the post trade requirements of different trading teams and contribute to the
definition and execution of their service delivery roadmap.
 Inspire and lead the team to drive operational excellence and individual development.

Qualifications :
The successful candidate will have:
 8-10+ years of experience as application support/operations manager for Post Trade
Platform (middle office and/or back office) in a reputed financial firm
 Minimum 5 years of experience in leading and managing teams .
 Experience working with reference data, reconciliation, P&L handling – including third
party vendor products
 Experience in leading Asset management/Hedge fund industry (preferred)
 Undergraduate or graduate degree from a top college or university
 Knowledge of Linux and a scripting language such as Perl, Python, or shell (preferred)
 Fundamental awareness or knowledge of SQL 
 Brilliant problem solving and analytics (number crunching) skills

 Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
 Able to work independently and take on many responsibilities
 Strong collaborator with a team orientation 
 Assertive and clear style of communication with a fluency in English
