Roles and Responsibilities & Key Deliverables:
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze supply chain data, including inventory, procurement, transportation, and warehousing costs.
- Monitor and track key supply chain financial metrics such as working capital, cost of goods sold (COGS), and inventory turnover.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to supply chain leaders and senior management to improve operational performance.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist in the development and management of the supply chain budget, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Work closely with supply chain teams to project future costs and savings opportunities.
- Ensure budget alignment with overall company objectives and track performance against budget.
Freight and Storage Cost Optimization:
- Identify opportunities for cost savings across the supply chain, including logistics, procurement, and inventory management.
- Support negotiations with suppliers and vendors to achieve better financial terms.
- Analyze the impact of supply chain decisions on overall profitability and propose actions for improvement.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Partner with procurement, logistics, operations, and IT teams to ensure alignment between supply chain and financial goals.
- Provide financial guidance on supply chain strategy, process improvements, and system changes.
- Facilitate discussions on financial performance and actionable insights for improvement.
Risk Management:
- Assess and monitor financial risks related to supply chain operations, including supplier disruptions, pricing fluctuations, and geopolitical factors.
- Support the identification of risk mitigation strategies within the supply chain.
Continuous Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain by identifying areas where financial processes, systems, or controls can be enhanced.
- Foster a culture of financial awareness within supply chain teams.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on supply chain financial performance.
- Communicate complex financial data in a clear and actionable manner to non-financial stakeholders.
About You:
- CA/ MBA with > 4-5 years of experience in finance, with at least 2-3 years in supply chain finance or a related field.
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and financial planning tools.
- Knowledge of supply chain management processes and best practices.
