As a senior member of the function, this role acts as a lead and manage deals to deliver the growth targets of the Company
Leading projects for new Business Development for solar, storage or similar RE projects.
Identify & develop new business opportunities in Hybrid with or without BESS
Keep track of upcoming state or central RE bids and evaluate the same in line with our risk/return matrix
Engage independently with internal and external stakeholders (including land aggregators, module and/or BESS vendors) for competitive business proposals
Undertake commercial risk analysis to determine viability by researching factors including land, grid connectivity & evacuation aspects, technical or regulatory requirements, processes etc.
Develop thorough intelligence in competition and external benchmarking
Provide strategic inputs for IC / Board papers for the different stages for obtaining internal go-ahead & approvals for the investments
Interface with CTU/STU for grid connectivity related aspects, REIAs for bidding related aspects, government authorities for project registration etc and secure all necessary licenses/permits required
Support in completing all project documentation and commercial objectives for internally approved projects, including contracts with all OEMs / counterparties
Complete all business development scope or work before handing over to Project Execution team for green field projects or Asset Management team for brown field projects, including contracts closure with all the relevant counterparties
Provide after – handover support to Project Execution team and / or Asset Management team as and when required to close outstanding issues
Education and Qualifications
Degree in engineering and/or business/management
Master of business administration
Work Experience
~12- 16 years of relevant experience, 8-10 years RE sector exp with IPPs, developers preferably
Experience in land developers, Solar/ battery contracting or techno-commercial experience
Technical / Professional Skills
Deep knowledge of Indian market, key decision influencing factors, regulations, industry relationships with suppliers, developers & IPPs
Thorough experience of pre-Project development, land procurement, techno-commercial, legal, regulatory, contract closure
Prior experience of leading competitive bids, developing bid ready projects
