Assistant Director, Asia Tech x Programme Office (Programming and Content)

[What the role is]

The Asia Tech x Programme Office (ATxPO) sits within IMDA's International (INTL) Group and manages Asia Tech x Singapore (ATxSG), Singapore's flagship technology event platform that convenes change-makers and thought leaders from government and industry to explore how technology can create meaningful impact.
INTL amplifies Singapore's influence and presence in the global digital economy, enabling the nation to transcend its physical limitations and emerge as a bigger red dot on the international stage. The Group focuses on building robust relationships with countries worldwide and lays essential groundwork for the next phase of development in ASEAN's
digital economy. Through its comprehensive approach to international engagement, INTL creates opportunities for Singapore to capture greater value and strengthen its position in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
As Assistant Director for Programming and Content, you will lead the team responsible for conceptualising, developing and executing the ATxSummit and ATxInspire series. You will also collaborate with IMDA's industry partner Informa Tech to advance the broader ATxSG agenda, including B2B opportunities through the ATxEnterprise brand.
In this role, you play a central part in shaping the core experience of ATxSummit. Your team drives the development of strategic themes, crafts thought-provoking agendas, and designs engaging sessions that inspire insight and action. You will curate and guide speakers to ensure every session is relevant and impactful. Beyond the main plenary, you will coordinate fringe activities and partner-led programmes to deliver a cohesive and memorable experience across the ATxSG ecosystem. Working closely with internal divisions, senior leadership and global partners, you will help advance Singapore's digital leadership on the world stage.
What You Will Be Exposed To
This role offers a unique vantage point on the issues and actors shaping the global digital economy. You will engage with thought leaders from government and industry, locally and internationally, as well as leading technology companies, research institutions and academia working on next-frontier technologies. Internally, you will work across multiple IMDA divisions and with inter-agency partners, building a broad understanding of Singapore's digital economy priorities.

[What you will be working on]

You will lead and manage a team to develop and execute the programme, content, partnerships and sponsorships for ATxSG across two key areas:

Programme and Content

You will lead the programming and execution of the agenda for the ATxSummit (Plenary and Village) and ATxInspire series, developing content strategies for panels and sessions in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. This includes identifying, engaging and cultivating government and industry speakers, and applying a data-driven approach to programme development and execution.

Sponsorships and Partnerships

You will drive the development and execution of knowledge and event partnerships, serving as the key point of contact for strategic partners including government agencies and key industry organisations. This includes sourcing, developing and executing sponsorship arrangements with industry partners to grow ATxSG as a platform.

You are a natural networker who builds relationships for the long term, and a strong team player who can work effectively across functions including marketing and events management.

You are mature and professional in your approach, proactive in reaching out to potential partners across industry, associations and government agencies. You communicate with clarity and purpose whether in writing, presentations or stakeholder conversations, and bring with you strong storytelling instincts and meticulous attention to detail.

The ideal candidate would possess 15 to 20 years of experience in conference programming, content development and/or partnership management.

Position will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
