Application Support Engineer (India)

**This position will be working 100% Remotely from your home office in India as part of a distributed team in the USA, Canada, Europe and several locations in India.
We are looking for a skilled Application Support Engineer to support and enhance our applications' reliability, scalability, and performance. This role requires a proactive approach to monitoring, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with development teams to ensure seamless software delivery
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for enterprise applications, addressing user inquiries and resolving issues.
- Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring application issues and recommend preventive measures.
- Manage logging, monitoring, and alerting systems for proactive issue resolution.
- Support upgrades, patches, and deployments, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure seamless software functionality.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers for issue resolution and enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in application support & troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with JAVA, Angular & MySQL database
- Hands on experience in cloud environment - AWS (especially with AWS Batch, Lambda, RDS, ALB/EC2)
- Hands on experience in database monitoring, query optimization, data archivals using AWS RDS
- Hands on experience in monitoring tools like Grafana
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose technical issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Background in Agile and DevOps methodologies
- Understanding of APIs, microservices, and system integrations
- Familiarity with IaC using Terraform or AWS Cloudformation
