Build AI-powered products and backend services using Python and FastAPI. Develop RAG applications, integrate major LLM platforms, use vector databases and AI development tools, and create REST APIs. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver features, while contributing to testing, debugging, deployment, and continuous improvement. The role may also involve AI agents, tool calling, MCP, cloud deployment, and Oracle Fusion integrations.
We at Fusion Practices are building the next generation of our integration and extension platform – custom modules that plug into Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP where standard capabilities do not fit customer requirements.
These modules are built on an open-source stack, exposed through APIs, and increasingly enhanced with AI capabilities so that AI applications and agents can safely reason over and interact with enterprise data.
We are looking for an AI Product Engineer with strong software engineering fundamentals and hands-on experience building Generative AI / LLM-powered applications. The ideal candidate will have practical experience with Python, FastAPI, RAG, LLMs and vector databases and enjoy using AI-assisted development tools to build products quickly.
- Build AI-powered applications and backend services using Python and FastAPI.
- Develop RAG-based applications using LLMs and enterprise data.
- Integrate LLMs such as OpenAI, Claude/Anthropic, Llama and Gemini.
- Build AI applications using LangChain / LlamaIndex.
- Work with vector databases such as Pinecone, ChromaDB, Supabase or Oracle Vector Database.
- Design and develop REST APIs and backend services.
- Use AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT to accelerate development.
- Work with product and engineering teams to turn requirements into working features.
- Contribute to testing, debugging, deployment and continuous improvement of AI products.
RequirementsSkillset Required
- 2–3 years of software development experience
- Strong Python development experience
- FastAPI / REST API development
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI / LLM applications
- Strong understanding of RAG
- Experience with OpenAI / Anthropic / Llama / Gemini
- LangChain and/or LlamaIndex
- Experience with a vector database – Pinecone, ChromaDB, Supabase, Oracle Vector DB or similar
- Good understanding of SQL/databases, Git and Docker
- AI Agents / Agentic workflows
- Function/Tool calling
- MCP (Model Context Protocol)
- AWS / Azure / OCI
- Oracle Fusion / OIC integration experience
- Experience deploying AI applications to production
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field
