AI Governance Lead | AI Centre of Excellence BU | CXO Office | July 2026
Embark on a journey within our AI Centre of Excellence BU. We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking AI Governance Lead to establish, operationalise and continuously enhance the Bank’s AI governance framework. This role will play a key part in ensuring the responsible, ethical, secure and compliant adoption of Artificial Intelligence across the organisation while enabling innovation and business value creation.

Job vacancy: AI Governance Lead
In this role you will:
- Support the development, implementation and continuous enhancement of the Bank’s AI Governance Framework;
- Define and promote Responsible AI principles aligned with regulatory requirements, business objectives and industry best practices;
- Translate governance policies, standards and controls into practical guidance for business, data and technology teams;
- Monitor adherence to AI governance requirements and recommend remediation actions where necessary;
AI Risk Management
- Establish and support a structured approach for identifying, assessing and mitigating AI-related risks;
- Maintain oversight of technical, ethical, operational, regulatory, privacy, security and reputational risks associated with AI solutions;
- Ensure AI risks are managed in line with the Bank’s Risk Management Framework and risk appetite;
- Support risk assessments across the AI lifecycle and escalate significant risk exposures where appropriate;
Controls, Assurance & Compliance
- Define governance and control expectations covering model performance, data quality, bias management and monitoring;
- Assess the effectiveness of AI controls and recommend improvements to strengthen governance maturity;
- Support AI audits, regulatory reviews and control assessments by maintaining robust and auditable documentation;
- Monitor emerging AI regulations and recommend enhancements to governance practices and control frameworks;
AI Lifecycle Governance
- Support governance and assurance activities throughout the AI lifecycle, from design and development through deployment and ongoing monitoring;
- Participate in governance reviews, production readiness assessments and approval forums;
- Ensure governance requirements are embedded into AI and data initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement & Culture
- Serve as a trusted advisor on AI governance, risk, compliance and Responsible AI practices;
- Promote awareness and understanding of AI governance requirements across the organization;
- Deliver training, coaching and knowledge-sharing initiatives to strengthen governance culture;
- Collaborate with stakeholders to balance innovation with effective risk management and regulatory compliance.

We are looking for candidates who have a minimum of:
- A bachelor's degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related discipline;
- A master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field would be an advantage;
- Relevant certifications in AI, data governance, risk management, cybersecurity, privacy, or Responsible AI would be an advantage;
- 3–6 years of experience in AI governance, AI risk management, technology risk, data governance, model risk management, compliance, audit, cybersecurity, or related disciplines;
- Exposure to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, Advanced Analytics, or emerging technology environments;
- Experience supporting the governance, oversight, or delivery of technology, data, digital transformation, or AI-related initiatives;
- Familiarity with AI governance, risk, compliance, or control frameworks and their application within regulated environments.
You will also be required to demonstrate:
- Strong understanding of AI governance, risk management and Responsible AI principles;
- Knowledge of emerging AI regulations, governance standards and industry best practices;
- Ability to assess and challenge governance controls and risk mitigation approaches;
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills;
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across business, technology, risk and compliance functions;
High level of integrity, professionalism and sound judgment.
