Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Mumbai, India. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with Indian accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts in accordance with Indian accounting standards
- Implement and maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets
- Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce accurate financial reports and statements
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
- Coordinate and lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations, including GST requirements
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management to drive informed business decisions
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to streamline financial processes
- Stay up-to-date with changes in Indian financial regulations and accounting standards
- Assist in the preparation and filing of various tax returns and statutory reports
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certification such as CA, CPA, or CMA preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting roles
- Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, tax laws, and GST regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective time management and planning capabilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Hindi is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work well in a team
- Experience with international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing regulatory requirements and accounting practices
Experience in Retail pharmacy sales and age 33 plus
