Deliver end-to-end Oracle Cloud Payroll implementations for North American clients: lead discovery, fit-gap, FSDs, hands-on configuration, data conversion, integrations, testing (SIT/UAT/Parallel), deployment, and 30-day hypercare while coordinating cross-functional teams and performing payroll validation and reconciliation.
The Oracle Cloud US Payroll Implementation Consultant is responsible for supporting the end-to-end implementation of Oracle Cloud Payroll solutions for North American clients. This is a hands-on delivery role requiring strong functional expertise, client-facing consulting skills, and the ability to configure, validate, test, and deploy Oracle Cloud Payroll solutions.
The consultant will work closely with client stakeholders, onshore and offshore teams, and cross-functional Oracle HCM consultants to deliver solutions that align with business requirements and Oracle leading practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in client discovery, business process discussions, fit-gap analysis, and business requirement gathering sessions.
- Analyze business requirements and prepare Functional Solution Designs (FSDs), configuration workbooks, test scripts, and deployment documentation.
- Perform hands-on configuration of Oracle Cloud Payroll.
- Capture data conversion requirements within the Functional Solution Design (FSD), define mapping requirements, coordinate business validation activities, support conversion testing, and help resolve data conversion errors.
- Work with technical and cross-functional teams to prepare Functional Solution Designs (FSDs) for integrations, reports, Fast Formulas, data conversions, and application enhancements. Drive functional specifications, support unit testing, validate delivered solutions, and troubleshoot implementation issues.
- Collaborate with Core HR, Time and Labor, Absence Management, Benefits, Compensation, General Ledger, and technical teams to support end-to-end business processes and resolve functional issues.
- Define System Integration Testing (SIT) scenarios, coordinate end-to-end testing across Payroll, Core HR, Time and Labor, Absence Management, Benefits, Compensation, and Finance/General Ledger, validate integrated business processes, and drive resolution of defects identified during SIT.
- Participate in Conference Room Pilots (CRPs) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), supporting business validation and resolution of functional issues.
- Support Parallel Payroll testing by executing payroll reconciliation and payroll variance analysis, validating payroll calculations, balances, taxes, earnings, deductions, costing, and payroll results to ensure production readiness.
- Conduct remote client-facing knowledge transfer sessions, configuration walkthroughs, and solution validation meetings.
- Support payroll cutover, production deployment, and approximately 30 days of post-go-live stabilization by investigating and resolving functional issues identified during deployment and production support.
- Work collaboratively with onshore and offshore functional and technical teams to successfully deliver project milestones.
Required Experience
- 4–8 years of Oracle HCM experience with strong expertise in Oracle Cloud Payroll.
- Hands-on experience implementing at least 3 Oracle Cloud Payroll implementations.
- At least one full end-to-end Oracle Cloud Payroll implementation from Discovery through Go-Live and Hypercare/Post-Production Support.
- Strong hands-on experience configuring Oracle Cloud Payroll.
- Experience working with cross-functional Oracle Cloud modules including Core HR, Time and Labor, Absence Management, Benefits, Compensation, and General Ledger.
- Experience gathering business requirements, conducting fit-gap analysis, preparing Functional Solution Designs (FSDs), application configuration, data conversion, Conference Room Pilots (CRPs), System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Parallel Payroll testing, deployment, and post-production support.
- Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills with experience supporting remote customer engagements.

- Oracle Cloud Payroll Certification is a plus.
