British technology company Arm designs and licenses semiconductor technology to companies like Apple and Samsung. Instead of focusing on manufacturing, the company creates architecture, which acts as rules between software and hardware. Arm estimates that some 280 billion devices use its technology and partners with many of the companies you’ll find on this list.

 

Qualcomm is one of the largest semiconductor manufacturers in the world and the developer of the popular Snapdragon mobile processor. Its chips, found on various devices, including phones, laptops, automobiles, cameras, sensors and home appliances, are AI-enabled. Qualcomm has multiple offices in the Delhi region that support the company’s business operations.

 

CDIL holds a special place in the Indian technology community as one of the first companies to build silicon-based semiconductors. Founded in 1964, it has expanded its product lineup to work with defense and automotive clients. Other than chip development, CDIL tests diodes, transistors and voltage regulators, among other semiconductor components.
